Were Back

Well, we are finally back from the crazy week that we had. We went to Pigeon Forge and loved it. All of Katie's family was there and it was really nice to have the chance to spend some quality time together. I love that place anyway. We went to the Black Bear Jamboree while we were there and honestly that was the first time that I have ever been to a show like that and I thought that is was really nice. You should go to that show if you are in the area some time. We spent the rest of the time looking for Katie a COACH purse and the cheapest one we could find was like 400.00 and I was like, "Sorry sweetie but not this one!!!" I, of course, loved the go-carts.
Then we got to go to her Grandmothers wedding, of which I sang in and I think everything went great. THe funniest was the color scheme that she picked out. She was supposed to use the colors that Katie and I used in our wedding because that would be cheaper on her decoration wise. Well, it ended up being those colors, which were Red and Ivory and Silver, but she wen and bought purple, yellow, and white balloons and placed them everywhere. The girls had purple and yellow flowers in their bouquets, katie was so funny with that and her RED dress. ROFLOL.
I am itching to get in the studio and start on my next song. I cannot wait. It is like a huge stress reliever to spend the day in the studio making God's music. I cannot wait for you guys to hear this one. Please pray for me that God is with me and blesses the efforts.
I am going to have to get off here, Katie is waiting to start homework. I will talk more tomorrow.
Love all you guys,

Once again, catching up

First off today I taught in Harts, WV. I had Kindergarten and First Grade combined. I have discovered one thing in the past two times that I have taught here in Harts. I have to admit that I was a little worried to go to any other school than Gilbert just because we all have our comfort zones and none of us want to go outside of them.

However, through it all I have discovered my true love for teaching. I mean I really love it. I was deathly sick but in the end it all is very worth while. Who knows if I will get to do it or not, but it would be nice. God is truly in control of everything and it is all up to him. Continue to pray for me that I will get better.

I am still waiting on a date to start tracking for my new single. It seems that with everyday that passes I get more anxious to see the final outcome.

Jeremy Brown my cousin didn’t get any position on all-state. My honest opinion is that it is a travesty, but oh well.

Tomorrow I am working again at HARTS CREEK in the second grade. They seemed like a good bunch of kids today.

Sorry I don’t have much great topics, I just feel too bad L

BTW…I am sick and my wife is at the table discussing sports issues. Imagine that L

Single finally started

I am finally starting on a new single. I met with John Rowsy yesterday to finish writing the song and we also worked on the vocal arrangements along with the chord structure. I AM SO HAPPY with the direction the song took when we started looking at it. It was very different from what I went into the meeting imagining.

I think that is the coolest part of songwriting. When God gives you the concept and you develop it, you have so many ideas and you think you know exactly what you want, when all the sudden God steps in and takes control and makes it a whole different level and you realize that it is in his hands and now it is up to him to develop the concept and touch his people through you. That is amazing and it even happened this way with "I Worship You."

I am now working with John and the studio for a tracking date. We couldn't do it this weekend because he had to fill in with Karen Peck and New River along with meeting with Daywind to write more songs.

I will keep you informed as everything comes and I want to send out a quick appology for the website. I am in the process of a re-design and it takes a while to do that. It doesn't help matters much when you hard drive fries. LOL :)

Updates will come I promise.

what's up with that?

First you may need to read Jamie Carter's Blog.

I will continue this concept. I am a teacher and I love to be nice to the kids. I think that it makes the whole school experience more enjoyable if you make it fun. It also makes it easier for them to learn. Who says that just because you are a teacher that you need to be a stick in the mud? I DON'T THINK SO.

I have gotten myself in trouble twice now trying to be a friend and make the students have fun. You have these crazy parents that well....are just crazy.

I guess I agree with Jamie. It is better to keep to yourself right? Or is it that the end justifies the means.

Even though it tends to get me in trouble I am going to continue being friendly. Now I am also going to still be like Jamie in the fact that you know when you need to be on the down low so to speak. Look at the crowd involved and you will know if you can or cannot join in on the fun.

So many christians are so busy fighting among themselves that were not seeing the move of God as we should. It is ridiculous to me. At my home church it takes an act of congress or the singing of Amazing Grace to get the congregation into it. Oh waith a prayer line does it too.

Don't get me wrong, I love them to death, but they need to seek God. Let go of what sister Jane is doing or Brother Bob. GET YOUR OWN LIFE and SPIRITUAL SOUL.

WE need to wake up that is for sure. This acting like Satan in public, saying this and that, judging, etc is over. God is fet up with it. I say serve him right or get out of the boat.

Until Next Time

Love ya,

Catching Up

Well, I figured that I needed to catch you guys up on the most exciting life that I am living.

First of all I went to the state "tourney's" this past weekend. Gilbert went to the second round and that was great. Congratulations to all of the guys you done wonderful. I still hate sports or the things that come along with it. To watch a good game EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE is fine but all that other stuff is almost evil.

Katie was in heaven though. They love this time of year better than anything it is what they wake up each morning for. I am sure that they will wake up tomorrow and say, "365 more days until the next one." I am glad they had the chance to enjoy themselves although now I know what all the wives that have husbands who put sports on top of their list everyday feel like. Yes I never thought I would ever say that LOL. :)

I got a new computer and to be quite honest I love it. I finally got one of those darn little screens! :)

I am going to be doing some MAJOR website work this week so be patient with all the sites. I am determined to give them a summer look.

I will let you go now.

Love you guys

ready....I am finally ready

well....the time is finally here. I can now record. I have found a producer and studio. There will even be some major surprises and I cannot wait to tell you all of them. I am going to record another song that i wrote and that excites me even more. I was going to record a song that someoe else had sent me but I think that I need to record this song. It shows growth in my as a writer. I will be co-writing the rest of the song with John Darrin Rowsy (former member of Karen Peck and New River) this coming week. It will be my first time co-writing with someone and that is also exciting!!

I will keep you informed on the progress and I will have pictures.

I am going to see Gilbert play in the state tournaments tomorrow and I hope that we win. By The Way faithful readers. that doesn't mean that I like sports.

~Love you
